Girl is not mine , Give me the boy?

SO apparently a new mother refused to take her little bundle of joy home right away because she came wrapped in a girl’s body.

Premila  Sahani alleged that her son was swapped with Saheda Ansari’s daughter, according to a TImes of India Report.  A DNA test proved that the baby was indeed born to Mrs Sahani  -her mommy-  and so did go home…what kind of a home will it be I wonder…Where she will start taking care of siblings at four and cooking at five  and… accused of being  “a girl” by the elders at home and given a tough time on the streets…the streets that make it difficult to be a girl.  A few years ago, three sisters in Kanpur had hung themselves, the youngest was 9 and the oldest, 16…they left a note saying  “don’t blame our family… but we can not stand being humiliated inside and outside the house every day. It is a nightmare~”.   Of course  it is a bloody night mare, the people who most ridicule and undermine the existence of women happen to be women so often!
and all camouflaged in the cacophony of “it is for your own sake” …no one will deny that girls are harassed and the institutions and their functionaries in our part of the world let us down everyday..but changing your identity to fit into weakness will add to weakness….
Raise questions! Stand up!
And when the people in your home and your neighborhood , Mrs. Sahani say  “ladki hui hai? (Is it a girl?)” Get the guts to say “han gudiya hui hai , rani  hui hai, doctor hui hai, engineeer, hui hai, prime minister hui hai, CEO hui hai,  teacher hui hai, police afsar hui hai….abhi bas paida hui hai….aap aur main mil kya banyenge ….ye aap bataiyae….( Yes, a doll, a doctor, a prime minister, CEO, teacher, police officer,  …she is just born…now you and I , what will we make her..you can tell me! ) “
“…Hence a DNA test was carried out. When the results were announced it proved that Premila had indeed given birth to the girl child, while the boy was born to Saheda. The custody of the children was given to the mothers only on Saturday, almost a week after their birth.”
Let it  Let it  Let it GO!

Not a girl and not a boy…..a baby! A new person!

Welcome!
